Let me ask you readers this question.

What is Fashion?

I define the word "F A S  H I O N" as a showcase of your personality, an expression of your hobbies and interest.

It is sad to see that people often perceive fashion as a sort of symbol for their social status in life. Of course, people, especially those who are well-paid, prefer well-known high-class brands like Louis Vuitton, Channel, Coach and the like for their style and durability. But what happens now, is that people don't think you are fashionable enough if you can't avail stuff labeled by these brand names. And because of that, "IMITATIONS" are now being made in place of the original one. Since, imitations are a lot cheaper and they have different styles and colors to choose from, most likely people will opt to buy those instead of handing out a lot of cash just to buy a single product. There are a lot of brands that are not well-known but their quality and style is just as good as the branded ones. With this kind of thinking, it is not really helping us to be a wise shopper.  Remember, Quality versus Quantity, Always.

Also, fashion now is being associated by what are the "IN -TREND " of the season, year etc. And usually, a lot of people follow that and call themselves "fashionistas" and the people who can't keep up with the trend are the "fashion victims". It deprives people to showcase their own style without being bashed just 'cause it is not "IN" the trend. And with this kind of ideology, we are actually limiting the creativity of a person. Maybe, we should respect others on how they dress because it's like we're respecting for who they are.

Again, Fashion is an expression of one's self. So readers, what is FASHION for you?
